On December 7 and 8, 2017, the Broad Institute was proud to host the first annual Food Allergy Science Initiative (FASI) symposium.
On the theme of “What feeds allergies?,” the symposium brought 18 experts from around the world to share the latest advances in food allergy science. Leaders from academia, industry, and the clinic presented their work on every aspect of food allergy, ranging from the components of food, to how we sense them, to how the immune system drives allergies.
We were thrilled to host this gathering of more than 400 attendees with a passion for food allergy research. By uniting this diverse community of researchers, clinicians, food allergy sufferers and advocates, we hope to foster new collaborations to tackle food allergy once and for all.
We look forward to convening again for the second symposium! In the meantime, please visit giving.broadinstitute.org/fasi for the latest program updates.
